Solar Power International featured on Trade Show Executive November issue
President & CEO Stephen Miner, VP Gary Thuro, Solar Energy Trade Shows selected for TSE cover

Alexandria, VA, November 20, 2017 – Solar Energy Trade Shows (SETS), the team behind Solar Power International (SPI) and Energy Storage International (ESI), can now add cover feature to their most recent accolades. Trade Show Executive released their November issue and recognized President & CEO Stephen Miner and Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Business Development Gary Thuro.

Trade Show Executive’s feature comes on the heels of SPI’s second-consecutive Fastest 50 Award, along with an eighth-consecutive Gold 100 honor, a recognition given to the 100 largest trade shows in the country by TSE. In recent years, the show has seen remarkable growth, as more than 20,000 attendees and over 700 exhibitors convened in Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas earlier this year.

SPI 2017 featured an expanded show floor and an even more robust educational program, supported by the co-location of Energy Storage International (ESI), Hydrogen + Fuel Cells North America, The Technical Symposium, and the Smart Energy Microgrid Marketplace – which TSE named “The Best Use of Technology” during their 2017 awards show in September.

Attendees from more than 120 countries were in attendance at SPI (23% of total attendance) and over 1,000 international attendees from 70 different delegations were there through the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyer’s program (IBP), which marks the largest recorded registration through the program. SPI will continue to participate and grow international attendance through the program again for 2018.

SPI and ESI, powered by Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), are the only industry trade shows where every dollar of revenue goes back to supporting the industry’s growth through SEPA’s and SEIA’s research and education, as well as SEIA’s advocacy efforts.

Next year’s SPI and ESI returns to the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA on September 24-27 and will once again connect all cross-sections of the global solar industry. You can learn more about SPI at www.solarpowerinternational.com

About Solar Power International

Solar Power International (SPI) is powered by Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) and Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), whose combined efforts have created world-class events. This event generates success for solar energy professionals and the global solar industry. SPI sets the standard for solar events as the fastest growing and largest solar show in North America as recognized by Trade Show Executive and Trade Show News Network. With its breadth of industry experts sharing their knowledge and exhibitions from the industry’s pacemakers, SPI is the leader among solar trade shows. Unlike other solar industry events, all proceeds support the expansion of the U.S. solar market through SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research and education activities, as well as SEIA’s advocacy efforts.

About Energy Storage International

Energy Storage International, co-located with Solar Power International, paves the way for synergy between energy storage and solar markets. As energy storage increases the power of solar by storing and releasing energy on-demand where it is needed on the grid, both utilities and others can take advantage of increased revenue and customer satisfaction. With over 160 exhibiting companies, ESI is the largest energy storage exhibition in North America.

About SEIA

Celebrating its 43rd anniversary in 2017, the Solar Energy Industries Association® is the national trade association of the U.S. solar energy industry, which now employs more than 260,000 Americans. Through advocacy and education, SEIA® is building a strong solar industry to power America.  SEIA works with its 1,000 member companies to build jobs and diversity, champion the use of cost-competitive solar in America, remove market barriers and educate the public on the benefits of solar energy.
