North America Smart Energy Week Teams up with The Cleanie Awards to Recognize Clean Tech Leaders

Solar Power International (SPI), Energy Storage International (ESI), and North America Smart Energy Week announced their continuing partnership with The Cleanie Awards®, the only comprehensive awards program focused exclusively on honoring leaders in the clean technology industry. The Cleanie Awards will unveil the 2020 award recipients virtually this fall.

COVID 19 has made this an especially challenging year across the industry, but individuals and organizations that demonstrate resilience through these times serve as a model for others. The awards will recognize the people, companies, and organizations navigating this unpredictable economy with bold leadership, innovative strategies, and adaptable technology.

“We are thrilled to launch the third year of The Cleanie Awards and once again partner with amazing organizations like Solar Power Events,” said Randee Gilmore, Executive Director, The Cleanie Awards. “We look forward to reviewing submissions and learning about the exciting initiatives and innovation our partners in clean tech are developing to create a stronger clean energy economy.”

Launched in 2018, The Cleanie Awards recognize trendsetting companies and individuals shaping the cleantech and renewable energy industries. The program spans several categories, including Company of the Year, Woman of the Year, and Rising Star Under 40. The awards committee also added two new categories this year to recognize organizations who are stepping up and giving back to communities affected by COVID-19: Keep the Power On and Community Giveback.

The 2019 class of winners included Enel Green Power, Clearway Energy Group, Smart Electric Power Alliance, Point Load Power, Hannon Armstrong, Viking Cold Solutions, Fresh Energy, and more.

Nomination applications are open now until July 30, 2020. Use code SETS to receive a 10% discount at www.thecleanieawards.com! Questions? Reach out to the program’s executive director, Randee Gilmore at randee@thecleanieawards.com.
