Broad Support for 2020’s Premier Energy Event

Solar Power Events has announced more partners that are bringing their thought leadership and support to SPI, ESI, and North America Smart Energy Week this September. In addition to the recent recognition of our partners Forth and the Center for Hydrogen Safety, this year’s premier energy event has the backing of businesses and organizations across the renewable energy spectrum, including solar, energy storage, hydrogen, fuel cells, electric vehicles, microgrids, and wind power.

SPI, ESI, and North America Smart Energy Week is led by solar industry leaders, the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), and all proceeds from the event go back to the renewable energy industry through the work of these two organizations. The additional support from organizations complimentary to the solar industry underscores the tradeshow’s position as the center for clean energy integration.

To navigate the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 health crisis, many companies in these industries are seeking opportunities to grow or reestablish their business. North America Smart Energy Week will continue to provide the platform in 2020 to help companies get ahead and on the right footing with comprehensive education, guidance, and potential connections with like-minded industry representatives.

“This is a critical moment for renewable energy,” said Stephen Miner, President & CEO, Solar Energy Trade Shows, “with widespread business disruption across the globe, having the support of so many different organizations further underscores North America Smart Energy Week as the center for integration for solar, storage, and other renewable technologies. The collaboration between our event and our industry partners creates a stronger set of resources to be shared with participants.”

North America Smart Energy Week’s partners also benefit from the varied interests of attendees, giving partners unique exposure to new audiences.

“There’s growing recognition that hydrogen will be a key component of the energy and mobility transition, and it’s one of several reasons why wind, solar and energy storage stakeholders are looking at it more closely to resolve some of their coming challenges,” said Bill Elrick, executive director of the California Fuel Cell Partnership. “CaFCP is partnering with Solar Power International to bring together hydrogen and fuel cell-related industries to talk about mobility, storage, power generation and more in a cross-sector environment.”

2020 Industry Partners include: ACENY, Build San Antonio Green, California Fuel Cell Partnership, The Cleanie Awards, The Clean Coalition, Clean Energy Leadership Institute, Cleantech San Diego, EMerge Alliance, Forth, Grid Alternatives, Center for Hydrogen Safety, NABCEP, U.S. DOE American-Made Challenges, Solar Energy International, The Solar Foundation, and Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy.
