What’s New and What’s Returning in 2021

2020 was a challenging year full of unexpected changes which drove the need to adapt.  Solar Power Events is looking ahead to a productive 2021 that provides business opportunities for the industry in a safe and effective manner with new and returning events.

First and foremost, SPI, ESI, and Smart Energy Week returns September 20-23 to New Orleans, Louisiana with a hybrid experience that will allow attendees to participate online or safely in-person. Participants can engage in a premium education program that includes solar, energy storage, hydrogen, microgrids, EVs, wind, and more, while making much-needed business connections with hundreds of exhibitors expected to be onsite. Registration opens in March.

Industry professionals can also look forward to the new Smart Energy Market Tours, kicking off next month. These traveling, outdoor events will move from city to city in select U.S. states. Think of it as your local farmer’s market for the renewable energy industry, where exhibiting solar companies will be on display and ready for business. First stop is Miami, Florida, followed by Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. Registration is complimentary, but limited and must be made in advance. Masks are required.

“We may be coming off a demanding year, but we’re thrilled to offer events and other compelling opportunities to help our audience conduct business. In 2021, Solar Power Events will continue to produce experiences where companies around the renewable energy industry can come together to meet with clients and customers, collaborate, and grow business,” said Stephen Miner, President and CEO, Solar Energy Trade Shows.

Solar Power Events will bring back several regional events this year in a virtual/on-site hybrid format to select locations, including Solar and Energy Storage Northeast (June 9-10, Boston), Solar and Energy Storage Southeast (October 11-12, Atlanta), Solar Power Africa (October 13-15, Cape Town), and Solar Power Mexico (November 9-11, Mexico City). Here, participants can facilitate regional business opportunities at the on-site exhibition and robust education programs online vetted by industry experts. Registration opens for Solar and Energy Storage Northeast in March.

The THINK.ENGAGE.CONNECT series continues into 2021. The Engage Series brings critical online education that bring you the latest insights and trends directly from industry thought leaders. The Think Series offers unique business perspectives from a broad range of companies. Connect gives participants the platform to search and discover renewable energy businesses to advance their company goals.

Registration for SPI, ESI, and Smart Energy Week, September 20-23, in New Orleans, LA will open in March. For more information on the Smart Energy Week, the Market Tours, or the THINK.ENGAGE.CONNECT series, visit re-plus.events.
