Solar Power International Climbs Trade Show Executive’s Top-100 List

For the ninth-consecutive year Solar Power International (SPI) was honored at Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 Awards & Summit, coming in as the 73rd largest trade show in the United States. SPI surpassed all energy-related events, making it the largest energy event in North America and the only solar and energy storage event to receive such a distinction. SPI has been one of the 25 fastest growing trade shows four years in a row and was a finalist for four Trade Show Executive Grand Awards: The Greatest Trade Show of 2017, Marketing Genius Award, Knowledge is Power, and Slam Dunk Award: Best New Idea.

“Our mission is to strengthen solar, energy storage, and smart energy solutions around the globe,” said Stephen Miner, President & CEO, Solar Energy Trade Shows. “It’s exciting to see SPI recognized as a leader in the industry. We strive to leverage networking and education to create an essential marketplace for businesses and organization to connect. Knowing we’re making an impact is a great feeling.”

SPI, the anchor of North America Smart Energy Week, had another landmark year attracting 19,000 attendees and 700 exhibitors to the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on September 24-27, 2018. Energy Storage International (ESI), co-located with SPI, drew over 250 exhibitors and saw a significant increase in its show floor footprint–making it the largest and most attended energy storage event in North America. The week of events also incorporated the Smart Energy Microgrid Marketplace, Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA, and The Technical Symposium and continued to tout smart energy diversification and synergy among renewable energy resources. On top of an enormous selection of solar companies on display, new companies invested in additional distributed resources such as wind and geothermal energy also made an appearance on the show floor.

Leading education with exceptional speakers, combined with a diversifying exhibit hall that represents a comprehensive view of smart energy solutions, shows that SPI, as the flagship of North America Smart, Energy Week, continues to build and expand upon its role as a leader in the solar and energy storage industries.

In 2019, for the first time SPI and ESI will head to Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 23-26. You can learn more about SPI & ESI at www.solarpowerinternational.com.
